BACKGROUND NOTE: Dolce & Gabbana (DG), one of the leading international groups in the fashion and luxury goods sector, was founded by Domenico and Stefano in Milan, Italy, in the year 1985. The company produced designs for women's and men's clothing, shoes, bathing suits, lingerie, and accessories. The company also owned a children's clothing line, and had eyeglasses and fragrances produced under its license. Its products were grouped under two core brands: Dolce & Gabbana, and D&G Dolce & Gabbana.
